From the phone: Last night's pizza party at home, sponsored by the twentysomethings to kickstart an adventure-filled week · K, gotta go. Wish me luck!!! :) · Interesting photo from work of the day: the corkboard at our pantry. Around the world map are post-its of did-you-knows. So far, my favorite: "Walt Disney was actually afraid of mice."

Today marks my first day at work and because I'm still at a high from it, here's something I've grown to love over the years, and especially now at my job—a list:
  1. Waking up to my alarm at 5:30am, leaving the house by 7am, being at the office by 9am, leaving work at 6pm, arriving home a little past 8pm, and then having trouble sleeping... They told me wrong. This isn't like high school nor college. This is high school and college combined. And I love it!
  2. In connection to #1, the long, gruesome commute from Las Piñas to Ortigas (tricycle, two jeepneys, train, and a fifteen-minute brisk walk) and back (said brisk walk, train, bus, jeepney, and tricycle).
  3. Small world: my two work "batchmates" and I have a lot in common. To start with, one was a fellow Interdisciplinary Studies major and another is also an Ilonggo (from Bacolod). Instant friends!
  4. Google Maps and I, we go way, way back.
  5. That I know of Hannah Reyes more than veteran photographers such as George Tapan and Paco Guerrero says a lot about me; like how my life mainly revolves around the Internet and that I barely grab anything printed anymore. Sigh.
  6. Workmate 1: May ice cream sa pantry! Workmate 2: Tataba kayo dito. Me: Tingnan na lang natin! (Hindi!)
  7. Remind me to thank my high school and college research advisers before the week is over. Wouldn't have embarked on this insane journey without them, aside from teaching me proper grammar and word choice and the deadly penalty of committing plagiarism, badgering me with formats and deadlines, all behind their thick glasses.
  8. Things to do this weekend that may or may not be work-related: get myself a postpaid plan, apply for SSS and TIN numbers, shop for the perfect low-heeled shoes, and decide whether I want to do yoga, zumba, or both.
  9. Coming home just in time for, so far, the kiligest and most intense episode of Ina, Kapatid, Anak, the only teleserye that I got hooked on since Walang Hanggan.
  10. Finally, I have a purpose in this world!
(Hi Mom, this post is for you!)

Also, yes, Ina, Kapatid, Anak is amazeballs (HELLO XIAN LIM) and yoga and zumba are both so fun! I'm thinking of enrolling in an anti-gravity yoga class though. Wanna go together?

    1. Hi Mikes! I work at Eastgate Publishing now. Super liking it so far! :) And yes, I wanna see you too! Let's schedule something!

HAHAHA XIAN LIM agad-agad? Ako, sa actors sobrang impressed kay Maja. :)) Anyhoo, I want/need basic yoga muna. Di ko pa kaya ang antigravity thing! But zumba is great, kailangan ko ng kasama dun. :D Let's figure something out!
