Auld lang syne

"May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art—write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself." — Neil Gaiman

Phew! It had been a long year, but one that's filled with so much love, mixed together with travel and music. Faith goals-wise, 2013 was also, surprisingly, good as each item have either been checked or touched on—progress, eitherway! I feel lucky enough to be able to capture some highlights via video and so here is a last-minute compilation I put together (in no chronological order) earlier today with a rundown that follows after:

IN 2013, I...
  • Covered one of my favorite songs with one of my favorite musicians, and good friend
  • Rocked my heart out during praise and worship of our church's leaders convergence
  • Witnessed the glorious sunrise in Tagaytay with Taal Volcano as stunning backdrop
  • Worked hard and partied even harder with the magazine staff in Boracay
  • Flew home and attended our valedictorian youngest sister's graduation in full force
  • Tagged along with close relatives for the Day by Day Ministries & FEBC's Easter cantata
  • Got a closer look of The Lighthouse in Subic and a panoramic view of the freeport zone
  • Took my longest road trip yet (8 hours) and said hello to the Banaue Rice Terraces in Ifugao
  • Chaperoned my little sister, who won VIP tickets to the Taylor Lautner for Bench fan greet
  • Chilled in Baguio on a long weekend and caught up with the craziest girls I love
  • Journeyed to Nueva Vizcaya and was assigned to "manage" Beatbox Gor and Lee Grane
  • Marvelled at the stellar performance of the Madrigal Singers during BGC's Passionfest
  • Trumped to Ayala Triangle Gardens with the family for the annual lights and sounds show
  • Fangirled excessively as my favorite local stars shared one stage for the Christmas special
  • Supported our cousin during Aurum, the 50th anniversary concert of the Madz in CCP
  • Went home for the holidays: Christmas eve dinner and bonded with dad's side of the family
  • Celebrated Christmas with mom's side of the family over great food and even better music
  • Traveled via ferry and bus to Dumaguete to reunite and spend quality time with our dad

To be honest, though, I'm just really looking forward to the surprises 2014 brings! And of course, on finishing up that to-blog pile I've had since the start of 2013. (Well, at least with this post, and video especially, you now have an idea, right? Ha, reasons!) Happy New Year, one and all! Once again, much thanks for sticking out with me and my just-turned-two diary. Here's to more adventures and the drive to take more and better pictures as well as write even greater stories. :)

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." — Mark Twain
