Resolve

I believe it has been one of the best (long) weekends to date!

Never thought it would be, actually. Now that we're approaching our final days of school, it seems impossible to take the time off from the fast-paced three weeks we have left. But the weekend proved that wrong. And I guess my teachers gave me a favor of not assigning any requirement to be submitted this week.

I am so glad to have my little sister (and soon-to-be Atenean) Kara and Mom with us these past couple of days. It's actually the first time Kara has been to Manila while I'm around (She's always here during the breaks while I'm there in Iloilo.) so it meant so much to me that she finally came.

Saturday morning to Monday afternoon, we spent it with relatives who had lots of great stories to tell and food that never fails to make us happy. And to top it all off, I got two answered prayers in just one day!

I am beyond pleased with everything, thank you Lord!

I'd thought that I didn't have a home anymore. But right there, right then, I realized I'd been wrong. Home wasn't a set house, or a single town on a map. It was wherever the people who loved you were, whenever you were together. Not a place but a moment, and then another, building on each other like bricks to create a solid shelter that you take with you for your entire life, wherever you may go. — Sarah Dessen, What Happened To Goodbye

With my Tita-Ninang Menmen, taking a break from shopping in Divisoria.

All the good blouses I found there, wish I bought them all!

Slept over at the Aguirres. Massage while watching Maalaala Mo Kaya in the family room.

Every time we go to their place, we always pass by this beautiful house!!!

Breakfast with the Curas, our nth-degree relatives who remained close all these years.

Yummy longganisa, tocino, and egg prepared by Tita Aileen.

Our Tito-Maninoy Dan, one of my greatest inspirations. Such a great man!

After church, we had lunch at Italiannis-Eastwood! Haven't been there in a long while.

Eee, pizza and pasta! Italian cuisine has always been my favorite. Always.

My second time at La Creperie, and it still doesn't disappoint. Just wow.

See what I'm talking about? This is why we should always have room for dessert!

Leeching off wifi from a nearby restaurant, with these iPads. Look at cousin Miggy!

Merienda cena at the Manianos, amazing food prepared by everyone in the house.

The Lolas, Titas, Titos, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. Good to be with family!

First time to try Jamba Juice, and we ordered most of their bestsellers.

I could really tell how healthy it was at my first sip. Great idea to go there!

Thank you so much for the treat, Tito Sam! Hope to see you around school.

Our post-Visa stressed look. After months of hoping, I finally got mine renewed!!!

Lunch at Gloramaris after Miggy's class and before Mom and Kara's flight home.

Second (legit) concert for the year, and of my life. BlueA1Jeff Timmons, we're ready!

Guess I got a little piece of home with me, wherever I go. Enjoy the rest of the week, friends!

    1. Hey Jill! For the photos in this post, I took them using a simple Sony digicam my mom brought along with her during the trip. Too bad I forgot the complete model/brand/whatever. Let me get back to you as soon as I know! <3
